South Brisbane School Upgrade

Brrring…That’s the sound of the school bell ringing as South Brisbane students explore their newly renovated classrooms.

This quarter Sensus has been busy renovating schools across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.

The latest primary school to finish in South Brisbane saw substantial upgrades across three general learning areas and a server data room.

“We believe in exceeding our customers’ expectations,” says Sensus MD, Zane Taylor. “For these upgrades it meant working closely with our client to identify innovative tools and technology to enhance students’ learning experiences.”

Renovated classrooms will feature acoustic pinboards (limiting noise between classrooms), new LED lighting and custom cabinetry designed for use with short throw projectors and interactive whiteboards.

Since health and safety is a top priority at Sensus the team were also excited to install key security and accessibility features.

“A number of safety features were implemented in the classrooms including spitfire emergency exit lighting, a disability compliant door and fire service extinguishers,” says Zane.

By collaborating closely with the school’s principal and teachers the team completed the job on time, under budget and with minimal disruption to the pupils.

As for the students? They can’t wait to learn in their new and improved classrooms.
